For the majority of people, dental check ups are recommended every six months. People with more risk factors such as gum disease, high risk for cavities, smoking or health conditions such as diabetes may need to see the dentist every three to four months.

Pregnant women are encouraged to see the dentist. Routine dental visits can prevent pregnancy related oral health problems such as gingivitis. These regular check ups are important as hormonal changes can affect gums. Severe pain, toothaches, or infections should be addressed immediately to prevent potential issues for mother and baby.

Ask about our in-office whitening specials. We also recommend tray based whitening maintenance systems. We always recommend using any products that are ADA seal of acceptance to ensure safety.

Bad breath can be caused by many factors. Usually, bacteria build up from poor oral hygiene is a common cause. Other causes can also include low saliva or dry mouth, smoking, eating strong foods such as onions and garlic, or even tonsil stones. In order to prevent bad breath we encourage to visit the dentist routinely, brush 2x/day including your tongue, floss daily, use a mouthwash, limiting sugar intake and drinking plenty of water!

We recommend bringing your child in as soon as their first teeth appear or by age 1, whichever comes first. Early visits will help establish good oral hygiene habits, prevent early tooth decay, monitor tooth development, and get your child accustomed to the dental environment.
